WINE FROM ORGANIC FARMING - CERTIFIED BY ECOCERT

Clos La Marche is a red wine from a 3.48 ha monopole, enjoying a south-eastern exposure. This Climate owes its name to the limestone slab, raised by a play of tectonic plate movements, on which it is located. The soil, hard and about 30 centimetres deep, consists of 50 acres of marl, on the top of the Clos. Grape variety 100% Pinot Noir, Clos la Marche comes from 60-year-old vines on almost 2 ha of the plot and young vines replanted on the remaining 1.5 ha.

The vines are harvested manually, and we use a whole cluster winemaking method (up to 40% of whole bunches) which means that the grape is not separated from its stalk, giving wine a greater structure. The pressing process lasts between 13 and 14 days, during which takes place between 4 and 6 grape stomping and some remontages. The 100% natural fermentation takes place using indigenous yeasts from our terroirs. Aging, in underground cellars, lasts between 12 and 13 months. It is made in French oak barrels, 25% of which are new, from 4 complementary coopers.
